The Heavy Metal "Red Stacy" Statue

PRESS RELEASE

CREATORS GET CLOUT
HEAVY METAL ANNOUNCES
NEW STATUE AND BUST LICENSE

7/8/2003

Metal Mammoth, Inc. owner of the Premiere Illustrated Fantasy Magazine, Heavy Metal, proudly announces the granting of a new license for a new line of high quality statue and bust collectibles based on artwork that has appeared in and on the covers of Heavy Metal, to Destination Entertainment, LLC with a unique twist. The deal is structured so that the creators of the art have equal participation in each project, both creatively and financially.

"This is the way we always wanted to approach a license like this, and the team at Heavy Metal led by the innovative Kevin Eastman, was all for it," said Marc Patten, president of Destination Entertainment. "For our first piece, we wanted to do a full sized 12 inch statue with incredible detail, and I couldn't think of a better artist to start with than cover artist and painter extraordinaire, Alex Horley. Alex's art epitomizes the type of dynamic fantasy that Heavy Metal is known for, and his painting, "Red Stacy" -which utilizes the striking visage of model Stacy E. Walker-had the beauty, power and raw energy I wanted to see in three-dimensions."

"Alex and I are thrilled to be a part of this new endeavor," said Stacy E. Walker. "The quality of the product we're helping produce is top notch, and it's great to be able to have this much control over something bearing your image. We anticipate this partnership is just the beginning of our role in this cutting-edge line."

"We are excited about the opportunity to bring the talents of Alex Horley, the sex appeal of Stacy E. Walker, the quality of Destination Entertainment and the most recognized sci-fi/fantasy brand in the business, Heavy Metal, together for this project," said Russell Binder, Partner at J.A. Roth and Associates, Metal Mammoth's licensing agent for its Heavy Metal brand. "We expect this to be the first of many collaborations."

Comic Book icon, creators' rights advocate and Metal Mammoth owner, Kevin Eastman added, "Stacy has been a "Real Live Heavy Metal Cover Girl" fan favorite for many years, and we always look forward to getting another fantastic Alex Horley painting to grace our cover. We were immediately impressed with the quality and professionalism we witnessed at Destination Entertainment, and Marc truly has great passion and an artist's vision for our brand-combine the four here, and I call that a winning team!"

Another tier has recently been added to the fab four-that of cutting edge Toy Manufacturer and expert sculpting house Art Asylum-making the team a Fearsome Five. "I was extremely excited when the gang at Art Asylum agreed to jump on board to recreate the beautiful color palate of Alex's painting for our Paint Master prototype," said Patten. "These crazy guys are supremely talented, and I couldn't ask for a more class act than Digger, Adam, Donna and their crew of expert artists."

"Stacy's been a great friend, and we were happy to participate in a project of this high quality," said Art Asylum VP Adam Unger. "Destination Entertainment has raised the bar by including the creators in their licensing deal, and they are producing a top notch beautifully sculpted product."

The first DE / Heavy Metal branded product-a colossal, 12 inches high, hand-painted full-sized statue entitled, Heavy Metal: "Red Stacy"-will carry a low entry level retail price point of $149.99. It will be heavily promoted this summer and will arrive in force this fall.
