A GREEK
MYTH: THE WATER NYMPHS The Naiads, or water Nymphs of classical mythology are the daughters of the river gods. The were often credited with healing powers, and thus the sick would make pilgrimages to certain consecrated springs and drink the waters. Conversely, bating in these springs was considered disrespectful, and mysterious illnesses were thought to result from such an act. |
