THE FEAST Julie Bell has always been open to suggestion. The idea for this painting came from a dream that Stacy E. Walker had of herself and best friend Chanelle as two barbarian ladies who go off into the wild to get themselves some dinner. That they are strong enough to bring down the beast and eat it is typical of Julie Bell heroines, as is their total happiness with what they have done. That the creature's remains have turned into chorme steel is just one of those things that happens in fantasy and dreams. |
