HYDRA The multiheaded Hydra of Lerna, a huge watersnake that crept out of the swamps, had breath so venomous that it could destroy life at each change of season. It was offered a sacrifice to appease it's eternal hunber and protect the country side. The Hydra was finally slain by Hercules. NOTE - This is one of the very few paintings done by Boris Portraying a women as the victim rather than the victor. |
